Rick Bergacs

Richard (Rick) Bergacs began his career as a student in Woodbridge NJ, and now lives in Pittstown, NJ.  Rick plays all clarinets, all saxophones, all futes and piccolo and is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, NYC. Like the other members of the trio, Rick’s career represents the range that is possible only in the career of such a brilliant player, improviser, and interpreter of music.  He can be seen as part of Aretha Franklin’s orchestra with H. B. Barnum, having performed at the  2010 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert in MSG, NYC, televised for HBO, as part of the 25th Anniversary Concert. Rick’s performance tour resume includes long relationships with many well known orchestras including the Henry Mancini Orchestra,  the Johnny Mathis Show, The Irish Tenors, The Three Irish Tenors, Ann Murray, and Clay Aiken.  An experienced big band player, Rick has performed with regularity over the years with dozens of orchestras including the Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestras and the Guy Lombardo Orchestra.  An avid traveller, Rick has performed on the Mississippi Queen and Delta Queen in New Orleans, La. His orchestral experience is also extensive, showing his versatility and ability to play at the highest levels in both jazz and classical genres: Princeton Ballet Company, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, American Ballet Theater, Official Folk Ballet of the U.S.S.R., Bolshoi Ballet Company, Stuttgart Ballet Company, Joffrey Ballet Company.  Rick has been seen on the stage with his woodwinds, performing with Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Ronan Tynan, and other major acts at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.
